Awards

Here is a place where you can win awards for your Sims 2 site, nominate other sites for awards, then vote for your favorite Sims 2 sites.  Nominations will begin on the first of each month and end on the 9th.  Starting on the 10th, the nominees will be put on a ballot for voting!!    The vote ends at 8:00 p.m. EST (GMT -5) on the 25th of each month.  Winners are posted by the first of every month (the winner will be announced on the news section of the main page) and then new nominees will be selected by you, the fans! 

The sites that win will receive an "award" to display on their websites.   The awards include the sites' name date that they won.  You can a sample of these awards here.

You can nominate a site here.  All sites that are nominated will be included in the vote as long as they are a Sims 2 fansite (and haven't won for an award for 3 months).  Just make sure--when you nominate a site--that you specify which category you want to nominate the site for (best genetics, best lots, etc.)--and you might want to make sure that site includes what you're nominating it for.  :-)  (Please note that objects, walls and floors are not readily made by all sites since there are no object creators/wall&floor creators released by Maxis yet.)

Please notice: If you are a winner and you do not receive your award in your e-mail within 30 days, please contact me.  Also, if I cannot find an email address on your site, it may be impossible for me to send you an award....so make sure that I can contact you.

I've created this rule so that abuse doesn't occur:  After a site wins any category, that site is not eligible for award for 3 months. 
Also, voters can vote for one site for each category once each day.  Any repeated votes on the same day will not be counted.
